Hope all is well with everyone.
I would like to take this opportunity to comment on the positive experience my mother and I had this morning at the Ruttonjee Hospital Vaccination Clinic - for Covid vaccine, and say “thank you” to the staff for working tireless to facilitate the process.
My mother (who is 87 years of age) and I arrived at the site this morning around 10:30 a.m. and was given the waiting token for the 11:00 a.m. appointment. As my mother’s first and second vaccine shots were administered in Canada the process was a bit tricky. However, the staff (two young ladies) who interviewed us at the initial stage were very patient and extremely helpful. They explained the complication in process, checked with the supervisors on the additional steps required, helped us fill out the necessary forms, obtained the paper documents (from me electronically), printed the relevant information and forms, transitioned us to the next steps seamlessly, etc.
While we waited for the vaccine shot, another young lady came over and checked to ensure we understood the process. She asked and accurately recorded our medical information and history. It was apparent that the two “first-step” staff communicated our case ahead of time to ensure smooth transition, and that we were taken care off.
Very quickly, we were escorted into the cubicle for the vaccine shot. The nurse and the technical / recording staff also demonstrated that they were aware of our case and were very careful to make sure everything was documented correctly. They also made sure we stayed for the full 15 minutes to ensure we were OK before they let us leave.
All in all, we found the experience to be very positive and the staff very professional.
We know how difficult the (world) situation is, and how our medical staff is being stressed and pulled in many different directions, hence would like to state our appreciation to you and your staff, and particularly, your team at the vaccination clinic of Ruttonjee for their professionalism and kindness.
