Objectives

Sharing of observations and experience working in both public and private sectors, commenting particularly on how advanced practicing nurses can play a role to contribute in the healthcare system in Hong Kong.

Dr. Alexander CHIU, MB ChB (CUHK), FRCP (Edin), FHKAM (Medicine)

Dr. Alexander CHIU is a critical care physician by training. He began his career in health care administration since 2009 where he was the Service Director for Quality and Safety of the HK West Cluster, HA. Dr. CHIU joined the Hospital Authority Head Office as the Chief Manager for the Department of Quality and Standards and the Department of Integrated Care Program. Dr. CHIU joined the private sector since 2015 as Executive Medical Director for different organizations including managing clinically related risk matter, health services planning.
